For farm labourers, rickshaw/cart pullers, domestic workers, construction labourers, and other unorganised-sector workers in Udakishunganj and Madhepura district, the e-Shram card is an important identity document. It gives workers a Universal Account Number (UAN) and connects them to several welfare schemes.
