This page compiles publicly available PM-KISAN portal information from the Ministry of Agriculture as of August 2026. Installment amounts and rules can change — check pmkisan.gov.in for the latest details.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, eligible landholding farmer families receive ₹6,000 in direct financial support every year, paid in three installments. Madhepura is an agriculture-heavy district, and many farming families in Udakishunganj block are beneficiaries of this scheme.
How to check your installment status
- On pmkisan.gov.in, click "Beneficiary Status" under "Farmer's Corner"
- Enter your registration number or Aadhaar-linked mobile number
- The status shows which installment was released when, and when it reached your bank account
eKYC is mandatory
Without completing eKYC, your installment can be withheld even if you're registered for the scheme. eKYC can be completed online via OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile at pmkisan.gov.in, or biometrically at your nearest CSC (Common Service Centre). Since 2026, land record seeding (linking to your jamabandi) has also become mandatory, so farmers whose land records aren't updated may see their installment withheld.
The bottom line
Getting the PM-KISAN benefit requires keeping your eKYC and land records up to date. For the land record update process, see our land records guide.
